What the
equipment does
The extruder screw feeds the melt simultaneously to two plates with round perforated windows 200–250 mm in diameter, which hold the filter elements. On the other two windows of the common plate, the operator fits screens in advance, ready for their turn.
Melt pressure sensors automatically signal the hydraulic unit. A hydraulic cylinder then swaps each window with a used screen for one with a clean screen, one at a time, in 2–3 seconds. Melt flow is not interrupted.
The set includes a hydraulic unit with two hydraulic cylinders, the filter, a heater set, a melt pressure sensor, a cabinet with heating controls and starting equipment, and a mobile support platform.
Two versions
- 200 mm windows: for extruders with a screw diameter of 100–135 mm
- 250 mm windows: for extruders with a screw diameter of 135–160 mm
Screen change
without stopping
An interactive drawing based on the photos and specifications of the filter. The two plates change screens in turn: while one moves, the melt flows through the other.
- The plate changing its screen now or next
- Four 250 mm windows: two in the flow, two waiting with clean screens
