02 — Description
What the
equipment does
Longitudinal paddle shafts mix the material intensively, washing and knocking off dirt, stones, sand and heavy foreign matter. Particles with a specific gravity above 1 sink to the bottom of the tank and are removed periodically.
The machine handles coarse cleaning and takes load off the downstream stages: the pre-washed material goes on to the friction washer for secondary washing with detergents.
03 — How it works

An interactive drawing based on the photos, specifications and open sources. Two longitudinal paddle shafts stir the shredded plastic in the bath: polyethylene and polypropylene are lighter than water and travel along the surface to the outlet, while sand and stones settle to the bottom.
